Sports and Student’s Pilot Training

By admin

Here goes the saying by Helen Keller, “there are no shortcuts to any place worth going”. One should never give up their dreams because they need them to boost themselves, to get going without compromising their morals.

Pilot Training It is a fact that the desire to reach for the sky runs deep in every human. All one needs is the right aspiration. Sport pilot training is one such aspiration for which a person needs to be at least seventeen years old. They should be holding a valid driving license with a good grip on their spoken English language.

Things would run smooth as long as one has a sound health with good habits for proceeding ahead with pilot’s training.

Interested candidate has to sit for an exam conducted by different concerned clubs. It covers navigation, technical factors, regulations and meteorology too. This examination is theory based with a lot of general knowledge. A good research in relative topics would help in the long run for the aspiring trainees to come up with flying colors.

There are different types of aircrafts which a candidate needs to decide upon, to get trained in. This is the first important step, a person would be taking before going ahead. The cost factor, easy flying, the aircraft speed and its engine are some important factors other than one’s own ability and few other factors.

The most important factor is passing 2 FAA test to obtain a certificate of a sport. It is a written and oral test on general knowledge. The FAA requires a practical test as well. But once done it, this certificate is a life long possession.

After all, if the engine is the heart then the pilot is the soul of an aircraft, and a good trained soul is very important for flying.

Rigors Of Pilot Training In IndiaContrary to popular beliefs becoming a pilot in India is not at all an easy job. The path to becoming a successful pilot is littered with difficulties which are they very hard to overcome.

There is a misconception among the students all across the country that a being a pilot means to visit different countries, stay in swanky hotels and have enviable salaries. While it is all is true but this is not the job is all about. All the above mentioned things are the added perks of being a pilot and you will only be able to enjoy them once you have become a established pilot, which my dear friends is not a very task as it may sound.

Some very important aspects of the Pilot training in India that people forget are:

  1. Pilot training does not help you in escaping the books. While it is indeed true that it is a practical course and the focus is less on books but there are numerous theory exams that must be aced else you won’t be able to get your license.
  2. There are numerous guidelines and norms set up by DGCA. All of them must be strictly adhered by the pilot at all times else there is a danger of permanent suspensions which might destroy your career.
  3. There are numerous documents that must be up to date right from the training days to the end of career. Some of these documents are SPL, FRTOL, COP (RTR), a pass certificate in the five compulsory theory subjects, a Class 1 medical assessment and log book with a detailed description of all the flying hours.
  4. The placements are also not very organized in this industry as it is yet to become as big as the medical or the engineering sectors of the country. As a result there is no guarantee that you will get a job after your Pilot training in India.

Pilot Training

By admin

Neil Armstrong says that “Pilots take no special joy in walking. Pilots like flying”. Yes they indeed rule the sky.

There are two types of pilot training, Helicopter and Professional Training. With Helicopter being one of the most versatile training courses it holds more scope in the coming days. The demand of the helicopter pilots has thus increased considerably.

Pilot Training The Professional pilot program is about converting a trainee to become a pilot of any professional aircraft. All aspiring commercial pilot has to make sure that they go through this professional pilot training.

Knowledge of flying an aircraft is not enough. Both theoretical and academic subjects are equally must for any professional pilot.

One has to be medically fit to undergo the training. So a medical certificate has to be obtained. A bank guarantee for the specified amount is a must along with a security clearance, to get going.

To get the student’s pilot license, more known as SPL, one will have to undergo a medical test to ensure their fitness. Getting this license is the stepping stone for any one to proceed further and get their Private Pilot License to get trained, so as to reach their ultimate destination.

A pilot need not have to watch for any cats or dogs running across or any children or ladies crossing the road nor there would be any road signs to look out for. So obviously it is considerably less fatiguing for a pilot than what a four wheel driver experiences.

Be it a helicopter or a commercial aircraft, one has to be in the shoes of a pilot to get the heavenly feeling of flying high in the early mornings. The decision of becoming a pilot may be one of the many major decisions of life time but surely a decision that one would never regret.

Helicopter Pilot TrainingHelicopter is now considered to be one of the most versatile aerial vehicles. The role of the helicopters is becoming more and more important and meaningful day by day. It is believed that the Helicopter aviation industry has a lot of scope to grow from about 10% to 15% in India. The demand of the helicopter pilots has also increased considerably.

There aren’t many helicopter pilot training schools in India. But the increasing demand of the helicopter pilots in India has resulted into the planning of setting up a large number of Helicopter pilot training schools in various parts of India. Currently one of the best Helicopter Pilot’s Training Institute which is present in India is the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.

The Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd which is based in Bangalore initiated the helicopter pilot training school
called the HAL Rotary Wing Academy. This institute was started in the year 2000. This helicopter pilot
training institute has been approved by the DCGA or the Director General of Civil Aviation.

The course structure includes a perfect balance between theoretical as well as the practical training. Various classes are conducted on the ground subjects on a regular basis. As far as the practical training is concerned the candidates get proper training in flying helicopters with trained instructors.

On successfully completion and passing of both theoretical as well as the practical exams, the candidate is given either a CPHL or a PHPL depending on the course taken. The CPHL is the commercial pilot’s License on Helicopter whereas the PHPL is nothing but the private pilot License in Helicopter.
