The path to becoming a successful pilot is littered with difficulties which are they very hard to overcome.

There is a misconception among the students all across the country that a being a pilot means to visit different countries, stay in swanky hotels and have enviable salaries. While it is all is true but this is not the job is all about. All the above mentioned things are the added perks of being a pilot and you will only be able to enjoy them once you have become a established pilot, which my dear friends is not a very task as it may sound.

Some very important aspects of the Pilot training in India that people forget are:

Pilot training does not help you in escaping the books. While it is indeed true that it is a practical course and the focus is less on books but there are numerous theory exams that must be aced else you won’t be able to get your license.

There are numerous guidelines and norms set up by DGCA. All of them must be strictly adhered by the pilot at all times else there is a danger of permanent suspensions which might destroy your career.

There are numerous documents that must be up to date right from the training days to the end of career. Some of these documents are SPL, FRTOL, COP (RTR), a pass certificate in the five compulsory theory subjects, a Class 1 medical assessment and log book with a detailed description of all the flying hours.

The placements are also not very organized in this industry as it is yet to become as big as the medical or the engineering sectors of the country. As a result there is no guarantee that you will get a job after your Pilot training in India.

The most important aspect in becoming a pilot is to grasp the basics of aviation in the beginning itself. Hence as a result the Pilot training in India has seen major advancement in the foundation courses for the aviation students.

Now the sound knowledge of the basic fundamentals pertaining to flying is very important as commercial pilots have an added responsibility of all the passengers who are flying under their wings.

During the Pilot training in India, a lot of emphasis is given to the start up CPL (Commercial Pilot License) courses as these are best places to inculcate the finer points of aviation industry to the aspiring pilots.

The path of commercial pilots in India is more difficult as compared to the other institutes across the world but the stringent laws here are evenly compensated with the instructors who always try to go an extra mile while educating the young pilots.

Pilot training in India consist general features like simulations and mandatory hours of flying but one stand out feature is that almost all the instructors in the top ranked institutes are eminent personalities who are either actively or passively involved in the aviation industry. As a result a high level of confidence gets developed among students and they are able to rectify their mistakes better as compared to other trainees.

In recent years India has been churning out world class commercial pilots thanks to their effective training which covers all the essential points like discipline, knowledge, positive approach and cost effective. Hence it does not come as a surprise that India is now being counted as one of the major hubs in the Aviation industry all across the world.

Although India still has miles to go and a lot needs to be done for further advancement of the CPL training but the progress has been steady so far.
